The connection is authorized with an API key from your HilltopAds account – the same kind of key you already use for the API. You will paste it once, on the HilltopAds authorization screen.
How to create a HilltopAds API key?
Log in to HilltopAds and open My Account.
Go to the API tab.
Type a description (for example,
MCP) and click Generate API key.Make sure the new key's status is Active (the toggle is green).
Copy the key - you will need it in the authorization step for your AI client.
Advertiser account: My Account → API. Generate a key and keep its status Active.
Treat the API key like a password. It authorizes access to your account data – do not share it or post it publicly. You can deactivate or delete a key at any time from the same API tab.
