At HilltopAds, the QA-department team daily checks traffic quality and users activity. If they detect violations of the Terms & Conditions, publishers' ad zones, websites or Direct Links may be declined with the reason Unacceptable traffic in which case publishers will get an email notification.

Why your ad inventories may be declined?

There are several common reasons:

  • Reselling low quality, unacceptable traffic from other advertising networks;

  • Selling traffic with bots, cheating or other types of fraud;

  • Selling motivated traffic;

  • Selling traffic that has been purchased at HilltopAds;

  • Unacceptable website content (including but not limited to act of cruelty to animals or people, physical harm or injury against any group or individual, etc);

  • Websites without any content or traffic as well as websites with domain redirections.

What can you do?

If there are only ad zones, websites or Direct Links declined but an account is active, you can continue working with HilltopAds. To do so, please follow these steps:

  1. If you buy traffic from other networks, make sure you buy high quality free of fraud traffic. Change your traffic sources or type of purchased traffic.

Please note, if you buy traffic from an ad network and sell it to different ad networks where your account or Direct Link is active, it is not a guarantee that your Direct Link may not be declined at HilltopAds. All ad networks have their own traffic requirements. Please be sure you follow the HilltopAds rules.

2. If you do not have any content or traffic on your website, try to work on it. Make exclusive attracting website content, work on SEO and increase your traffic volume. After that, you will be able to continue working with HilltopAds and earn money.

Please note, we do not have requirements to a traffic volume, but we pay for each 1,000 impression. So, the more quality acceptable traffic you have, the more money you get.

3. If you have several websites but have added only one of them that was declined, try to monetize another website traffic.

What about earnings?

At HilltopAds, we appreciate both advertisers and publishers as well as our reputation. So, if publishers' ad zones, websites or Direct Links are declined, earnings for selling unacceptable traffic will be deducted from their balance in favour of advertisers who bought low quality traffic.

We recommend you not to try to violate the HilltopAds rules and work with clean high quality traffic.
